Overview
Patronus AI is a generative simulation company building Digital World Models, AI systems trained to simulate environments and generate the data used to train and evaluate frontier models. The company was coming out of stealth around an open source release from one of its digital models.
The announcement landed alongside news that Patronus AI had raised $50 million from investors including Greenfield, Lightspeed, and Notable Capital, which added weight to the moment for the technical audience Clickstrike was trying to reach.
This was not a traditional product launch. The moment was built to signal credibility and technical seriousness to the AI research and engineering community, an audience that lives on X and pays close attention to who amplifies a launch and why.
Clickstrike ran a targeted X amplification campaign around the announcement, which Patronus AI posted from both its company account and the founder's personal account.
The relationship has grown since that first launch. Clickstrike ran a second campaign around the open source release of Patronus AI's FigmaTrace dataset, which climbed to number one in X's Today's News. Patronus AI has since brought Clickstrike back for three more amplification campaigns, and that work is ongoing. The metrics on this page cover the out of stealth launch specifically.
The Challenge
Patronus AI needed the announcement to land with a specific audience: frontier AI researchers, engineers, and technical builders working in post-training, reinforcement learning, and fine-tuning. The goals behind the push were talent and enterprise attention rather than top of funnel traffic. The company was not tracking landing page visits for this launch at all.
That created two constraints. The founder's announcement had to reach credible, high-trust voices in generative AI without reading as paid promotion. And the bench of amplifiers had to skew toward real researchers and developers rather than generic AI content audiences.
It also meant ruling out accounts built on retweet farming or obvious sponsorship patterns. The bar was creators who could speak credibly to the technical substance of the release, with a track record of sharp, informed takes on model training and evaluation rather than AI adjacent commentary.
The Solution
Clickstrike built the campaign around a single high-leverage moment: the out of stealth announcement, posted from both the company account and the founder's personal account. Instead of running broad paid distribution, we concentrated on securing organic-feeling quote retweets from a curated bench of AI industry voices, timed to compound visibility in the hours immediately following the original posts.
The founder posted the launch video from his personal account:
We sourced and vetted creators for genuine technical credibility in post-training, reinforcement learning, and frontier model development, prioritizing organic engagement patterns over raw follower count and screening out profiles that read as paid-marketer heavy.
Twelve creators were selected from the AI and ML builder and researcher community on X, spanning developer advocates, startup founders, growth practitioners, and independent AI commentators. Each one had a demonstrated pattern of substantive, non-promotional posting about AI tools, models, and infrastructure, the kind of voice a technical audience already trusts.
All 12 quote retweets published inside a 48-hour window immediately following the original posts, which extended the announcement's visibility well past the initial in-feed spike. Creators wrote their own takes rather than posting scripted copy, so the amplification read as real industry interest instead of paid placement.
The Results
Patronus AI split the announcement across two posts instead of one, the founder's personal post above and a separate post from the company account. The company account's post reached 94,500 views on its own and is the post most of the amplification below builds on:
Layered on top of both original posts, the 12 quote retweets Clickstrike secured generated 108,344 views, bringing the launch moment to 246,844 total views.
Combined follower reach across the 12 amplifying accounts came to 1,467,756, giving Patronus AI a wide potential audience well beyond the views the campaign already generated.
Every creator selected indexed toward the same researcher and developer audience Patronus AI was trying to reach for hiring and enterprise attention, which is why a tightly curated group of 12 outperformed what a broad, generic influencer push would have delivered.
For a technical, credibility-sensitive audience, a small set of the right voices beats broad reach tactics. The launch reached the people Patronus AI was actually hiring and selling into, and set the foundation for the ongoing amplification work Clickstrike now does around every Patronus AI announcement.
